Hi - i understand SEF url's but google appaers to have been able to index dynamic urls. Should i no-index these pages or is their a better solution?

You could no-index these pages but are these pages duplicates or are they showing genuine content.
If they are showing genuine content you should continue allowing google to index those pages and manipulate the page titles and meta descriptions to reflect the dynamic content being displayed. This can easily be achieved by using PHP to get the paramters within the url and printing out a custom title and meta description based on those terms.
